Phenomenal. Tried this place for the first time this evening. The pitmaster and team treats every entree as an art form, and each customer as a friend. Meat was tender, superb. Best brisket I've ever had. Side dishes have detail in the flavors; no shortcuts taken. POTSBBQ is a new favorite and a local Sarasota gem.

Went in for lunch theirs no way my ribs were from today plus i saw my ribs go in the microwave. Potatoe salad tasted and looked a little old. Never ever again. I thought since it was lunch time everything would be fresh but theirs no way at all it was. Oh what a nice way to blow $26.00. Thanks guys.

Went here by chance, moved down the street. Regina was very helpful and patient with my daughter while I ordered. The food was incredible!!! I haven't had anything this good since Texas. I will be back and I will be telling everyone about this place.

This place and the guys in it deserve and earn all 5 stars i am giving them!! Great easy going guys. Good prices.. And the food!! Perfect smoke ring, flavor and quanity. Meat is tender and fall off bone! Packed with flavor even with out any of their 6 sauces to choose from. Froed okra and mac and cheese was also delicious. If u leave this place hungry then you just dont know what good food is!! Will be back!

We haven’t been here in a while but we were in the area and figured we would give it a try as it was very good the last time. This time was even better. Great ribs, Great service, Great sides. We will definitely be back!

The food was cooked to perfection. The wings were delicious and the ribs were fall off the bone. We also ordered pulled pork sandwiches and the portions were huge! Definitely will be back.

Awesome BBQ. Portions are huge in size. My boyfriend is a huge meat eater and we always share and have leftovers! Staff is very friendly and even sit out and chat for a bit if they aren’t to busy. If you like REALLY spicy... ask for the extra spicy hot sauce they keep in the back! It’s super spicy and delicious!

All I can say is WOW!! Had the chopped brisket sandwich special and it was on point; tasty and fresh. Excellent service also!! Job well done!!

I absolutely loved the iced tea. This place don't mess around. True southerners take their tea seriously. As soon as he told me he was Texas, I knew his ribs and brisket would be top notch. I got the brisket, which was a true delight and my dinner mate got the pulled pork (we are from North Carolina), which was dry and tasteless. Not his strong suit. Sides were a mixed bag. I'd love to teach him how to make a mess of proper collards greens. His were sad. But his Mac & Cheese was just right...except for not having been baked. I really missed that crunch edge. Just saying...Great place to pick up party buckets.

Stopped in here for a late dinner. I was totally blown away by both the quality of the food and the portion size. I ordered the Saturday special Brisket Bonanza. It is a heaping plate of mac n cheese, shredded lettuce, a heaping portion of brisket topped with ranch dressing. Enough food for dinner and leftovers for work. One of the best bbq plates I have ever eaten. This place is amazing, staff is friendly and food is outstanding. Will definately be back.

First visit and we got brisket which was awesome!! So tender...Ribs were so good also, didn't need sauce on them even. Beans were on point so was the corn bread. My husband got fried okra and said was crispy and liked the sauce that came with it, fries were crisp and the sweet tea was very good. So much food will have dinner for tonight as well. So far on what we tried they know what they are doing..we will definitely be back.

Great BBQ! Had everything I thought it might have and more. The lady at the register was really nice and patient when I decided to change my order at the last second. Food was great, had the Pulled Pork and I'd recommend that one.

Awesome bbq. Ribs were meaty and tender. Lots of different sauces to try. Variety of soda flavors, not just the usual flavors. Sides were very good, had the baked beans (a little spicy) and mac and cheese both very good. Must try if you like bbq.

Big portions, not over cooked or over seasoned, friendly staff. I have enjoyed both the brisket and the pulled pork meats. Their coleslaw and baked beans are delicious, too.

WOW! I think I've found my new favorite place. This is simply wonderful original southern-style BBQ. Excellent meat, slow smoked to perfection served with fresh homestyle sides. The house is comfortable and unpretentiously simple but the staff and service is first class. Do yourself a favor and treat the family to a meal they will thank you for many times over.

Honestly, it's just fine. My qualm is their prices. For what I pay I expect a higher class of BBQ, that just isn't the case here.

Was very excited but ended up extremely disappointed. Ordered baby back ribs and there was no smoke ring. Almost seemed boiled to me and flavorless. Chicken was very rubbery. Only thing that was enjoyed was the cornbread. Spent $100 and didn’t eat more than than two ribs. Maybe they had a bad day but probably will not go back. I actually think they gave me spare ribs and not baby back.

BEST BBQ EVER!!!!! Hands down. Won't make the mistake to get it from anywhere else- ever. Tried the wings & the pulled pork sandwich delivered by Bite Squad & it was amazing! The wings are smoked to perfection with some sort of dry rub; they don't even need sauce, but oh my are the sauces amazing! The wings aren't tossed, perfect for dipping, or just on their own. Would recommend this place to anyone! Can't wait to try more items, I'm addicted to the deliciousness! 😍🍗 ♨️

Best BBQ for miles and miles. Fried green tomatoes are unbeatable and I am a southern raised Floridian. Treat yourself to this cooking as often as possible... Thank you to the owners for an all around great experience!!

The brisket and pull pork sandwiches were amazing! The options on the sauce was very good to. The Alabama sauce was perfect spice. The mac n cheese was decent. The fries and beans were yummy. Definitely recommend.

Mike & company lay out some tasty vittles! The staff is polite and helpful. When you sit down to eat in they set the table up like home. My Wife, friends, and I love having a southern meal here. The BBQ is very good overall. The pork spare ribs and beef brisket are my favorites. P.O.T.S is a great place to eat and one can make new friends there, too.

I'm a Georgia Boy, so I know me some BBQ! The food here was just as awesome as the customer service! The Manager, Mike even explained the tastes of their various sauces. We got filled up nicely on the sampler platter and even had a bit left over to take home. We will definitely be back!

Love the Barbeque Food here. I also recommend the green bean casserole and Mac n Cheese. They had a lunch special for $7.95

Surprisingly amazing. A bit pricey because of Gulf Gate location, but food was damn good! Smoked chicken was great, wings were outstanding.

This is brisket to die for...the stuff barbeque dreams are made of!!! Just get it....you will return!! The fried green tomatoes are also delicious...and try the spicy bbq sauce...YUUUMMMMMM

Delicious food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was piled high with pork. The fried okra and baked beans were delish too. The baked beans had more pork than beans which made them even better. I wish this restaurant offered smaller portion sizes. The smallest size is 1/2 pound.

Totally awesome!!! Way too much food but all super delicious. Slow smoked meats. Comfort food sides. Friendly and helpful staff. Both servers and the cook checked in with us multiple times. My wife had the 1/2 chicken which came with a pile of cornbread. I had a 1/2 lb. of brisket which I didn't even have to cut. I'd just point the knife at it and it would fall apart. They have a sauce bar with 5 types of BBQ sauce. The only downside is the joint is tiny. Like 4 tables and 5 booths tiny. I imagine it's like standing room only at peak hours. Definitely worth the trip.
